Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has advised Catalonian Miura Private Equity on its acquisition of a minority stake in Terrats Medical

Catalonian Private Equity fund Miura has closed an investment in Terrats Medical, a company which operates under the brand name DESS (Dental Smart Solutions) and a leader in the manufacture of dental implants and abutments.

Terrats Medical is a family business based in Barberà del Vallès (Barcelona) on its third generation, with more than 70 years of history. It holds a strong international position. It is present in 35 countries and exports exceed 90 per cent of its turnover, being particularly strong in the United States, Europe (mainly Germany, France and the Nordic countries) and Asia.

The size of the stake secured by the PE house remains undisclosed

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo advised Miura Private Equity with a team led by Barcelona office managing partner Daniel Marín (pictured). The financial matters have been led by partner Rafael Aguilera, assisted by associate María Fanego. Other advisers included lawyers Carolina Posse and Estefanía Fraile.
