GA_P advises Lamosa on €220m acquisition of Roca’s ceramic business

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has advised Mexico’s Grupo Lamosa on the purchase of Roca´s flat ceramic business for €220 million

Lamosa is considered one of the world’s leading ceramic tile manufacturers. The operation includes the indirect acquisition of the Roca Group’s subsidiaries in this business, with a presence in Spain, the USA and Brazil, and the subsequent transfer of two factories in Brazil and the Spanish Cerámicas Belcaire, located in the Valencian Community.

The acquisition will allow Lamosa to increase its consolidated turnover by 20% and its production capacity in the wall tile business by 16%, reaching 225 million square metres per year, entering the podium of the world’s leading manufacturers of flat ceramic tiles.
