GA_P advises Alba on €100m investment in Profand

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has advised Corporación Financiera Alba on the investment of €100 million in Profand Fishing Holding

Alba’s stake in the company will be approximately 23.71% of its share capital, acquired through the purchase and sale of shares and the simultaneous subscription of a capital increase. Corporación Financiera Alba is a company listed on the Continuous Market since 1986 and majority-owned by the March Group.

Profand is one of the leading companies in the fishing sector in Spain and a world leader in the fishing and marketing of cephalopods, as well as in the sale of fish in protective atmosphere trays. This investment is part of Alba’s strategy of becoming a leading minority shareholder in Spanish and European family-owned companies, listed and unlisted, leaders in their sectors of activity, with the aim of contributing to their long-term development.
