Freshfields’ Madrid office instructed on €785m Nordex acquisition

Lawyers from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s Madrid office were part of the firm’s multijurisdictional team that advised Nordex SE on the €785 million acquisition of Corporación Acciona Windpower from Acciona.

A cross-practice team of multijurisdictional lawyers based in Freshfields’ Madrid, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and New York offices advised on the deal.

The team included lawyers from the firm’s corporate, regulatory, financing, litigation, antitrust and tax departments.

The Madrid-based lawyers working on the deal included partner David Franco, of counsel Ignacio Borrego, senior associate Rocío Escudero, as well as associates Alicia de Miguel and Ana Calvo.

Acciona was advised by CMS on the deal, according to Mergermarket.
