Freshfields advises PTI on $6.5bn financing

Freshfields has advised Phoenix Tower International (“PTI”), a provider of wireless communications infrastructure, on the Spanish law matters of its $6.5bn multi-jurisdiction financing. The transaction is one of the largest financings of its kind for a privately held tower company.

The proceeds of the financing will be used to refinance PTI’s existing debt, including facilities on which Freshfields had previously advised the company as well as to fund future investments and acquisitions and support the group’s general corporate purposes.

The team

The Freshfields team advising on the Spanish law aspects of the deal was led by partner Ana López, together with associates Inés Colás and Raquel Cuesta, all from the firm’s Finance practice in Madrid.
