Félix Fernández Hinojal joins ABB as senior litigation counsel
Félix Fernández Hinojal (pictured) will leave HP after 14 years to join ABB as senior litigation counsel for EMEA and APAC, effective 1 October.
The profile
At HP, Fernández-Hinojal has served as litigation manager for Southern Europe, the Middle East and Africa and Competition counsel, managing complex cross-border disputes involving competition, commercial, intellectual property and insolvency matters. His work has also included advising on HP’s separation into two Fortune 500 companies and subsequent acquisitions.
Between 2018 and 2023, he provided legal support to HP’s global anti-counterfeiting programme, covering customs, civil and criminal enforcement matters across multiple jurisdictions. Earlier in his tenure, he also coordinated the company’s Iberian pro bono activities.
Alongside his in-house career, Fernández-Hinojal has been a lecturer at the Escuela de Práctica Jurídica of Universidad Complutense de Madrid since 2021, teaching civil and commercial litigation.
Before joining HP in 2012, he gained international experience at the Spanish Embassy in Hanoi and at Dacheng Central Chambers in Beijing.
