Ex-Pinsent Masons TMT partner joins Samaniego Law

Samaniego Law has hired Paula Fernández-Longoria as of counsel, joining from Pinsent Masons, where she was a TMT partner

Samaniego Law, a law firm specialized in IT Law, launched in 2017 with the simultaneous opening of offices in Madrid and Miami, has signed Paula Fernández-Longoria (pictured) as of counsel.

Paula mainly focuses in Data Protection and Cybersecurity. Paula has an extensive experience in advising clients in all range of privacy issues having advised and represented a large number of local and international companies on multinational projects including international data flows, outsourcing transactions, assistance before the Data Protection authorities and data compliance programs. She has also extensive experience in cybersecurity, having collaborated with insurance companies offering cybersecurity policies. She also advises on IT outsourcing and e-commerce projects, Blockchain projects, technology procurements and other general commercial work.

Before joining Samaniego Law, she was a TMT partner at Pinsent Masons in Madrid and before that counsel at the Bird & Bird TMT department in Madrid. Previously she was part of the Legal team at Electronic Data Systems (now an HP company), where she was in charge of clients’ IT and outsourcing contracts, Compliance and Intellectual Property. Prior to this, she worked at Linklaters TMT group in Madrid and in the Madrid and Brussels offices of Gomez-Acebo & Pombo.
Paula is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences on Privacy-related topics and is author and co-author of various relevant publications.
