Eversheds Sutherland promote two new counsels

Eversheds Sutherland Spain has promoted two new counsels. Inmaculada López, counsel os the procedural and intelectual property department and José Sánchez de León, counsel in the procedural and arbitration department. They both belong to the firm’s internal promotions.

Inmaculada López has been promoted within the firm from Legal Director to Counsel in the litigation and intellectual property area. With over 15 years of experience she has advised national and international clients in arbitration and litigation proceedings in various sectors (such as pharmaceuticals, construction, finance, automotive and cosmetics) on intellectual property, unfair competition, general breach of contract, product liability, consumer and advertising. She also has extensive experience in negotiating and drafting a wide range of contracts.

José Sánchez de León has been working in the same company for more than 9 years. He has been promoted within the company from legal director to counsel in the procedural and arbitration department.

José has represented clients on a broad range of domestic and international disputes including both litigation and arbitration. He is mainly focused on civil and commercial matters with international implications and is highly experienced in corporate and commercial disputes, construction, infrastructure and energy matters, real estate litigation and antitrust damages claims.

One of his main areas of specialization is domestic and international arbitration. In this regard, José has acted before the main Spanish arbitration courts mostly in disputes related to sectors such as construction & engineering, infrastructure, energy and oil & gas. José has also been often involved in bankruptcy litigation and in criminal litigation related to white collar crimes.
