Eversheds Sutherland advises Catalonia Hotels on Marriott agreement
Catalonia Hotels & Resorts has signed two new agreements with Marriott International to develop resorts in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Zanzibar, Tanzania, deepening the collaboration between the two hospitality groups. Eversheds Sutherland Spain advised Catalonia Hotels & Resorts on the transactions.
The agreements will result in the opening of a Marriott Hotels-branded resort in Jamaica and the addition of an Autograph Collection Hotels property in Zanzibar, both positioned in what the companies describe as attractive all-inclusive leisure destinations.
The new agreements build on an existing relationship between Catalonia Hotels and Marriott, with the two brands expanding into the all-inclusive resort segment across new geographies. The Zanzibar and Jamaica projects mark the entry of Catalonia’s portfolio into East Africa and the Caribbean under Marriott’s brand umbrella.
