Eversheds names new Legal director
Eversheds Sutherland promotes José Sánchez de León to Legal director of Litigation and Arbitration areas in Spain
Until last January, José Sánchez de León (pictured) worked as a senior associate in the Litigation and Arbitration team at Eversheds Sutherland in Spain. Now he has been promoted to Legal director of the same areas.
José has represented clients on a broad range of domestic and international disputes including both Litigation and Arbitration. He is mainly focused on civil and commercial matters with international implications and is highly experienced in Corporate and Commercial disputes, Construction, Infrastructure and Energy matters, Real Estate Litigation and Antitrust damages claims.
One of his main areas of specialization is domestic and international Arbitration. In this regard, José has acted before the main Spanish arbitration courts mostly in disputes related to sectors such as Construction, Infrastructure, Energy, and Oil & Gas.
José has also been often involved in Bankruptcy Litigation and in Criminal Litigation related to White-Collar Crime.
He graduated in Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and got his LLM from the IE Law School.
He was selected for the Iberian Lawyer 50 Rising Stars list, published in issue 94, last May.
