Spain’s most innovative firms according to the FT

According to the FT Innovative Lawyers, four spanish law firms have joined the group of the 40 most innovative law firms in Europe.

In the top ten there is Ecija, which this year has made a spectacular leap from last year’s 19th position, achieving a score of 78.5 out of 100.

On the other hand, Ashurst, the first ranked firm, tops the table with 86.7, jumping from the eleventh position in 2021 and leaving Hogan Lovells and DWF, second and third.

Garrigues, meanwhile, ranks 25th in this group, while Uría Menéndez and Cuatrecasas rank 30th and 32nd, respectively.

In the individual categories, Ecija was the winner in professionalisation of services, while the spanish office of PwC Tax & Legal did the same in people management and Cuatrecasas in use of data.

As for in-house counsel, Iberdrola broke into the top ten by ranking ninth with 38 points, while the winner Bayer scored 47 points.

VdA won the “Innovation in Long Term Strategies for Success” award.

In this way, the british newspaper Financial Times, with its FT Innovative Lawyers recognises, year after year, the 40 outstanding law firms in terms of the new demands of clients, taking into account digitalisation, sustainability and flexibility, among other aspects.
