Ejaso promotes four partners from within

Ejaso has named four new partners through internal promotion, strengthening key practice areas across its Madrid and A Coruña offices.

The appointments span commercial law, restructuring, public and urban planning law, and insolvency.

The profiles

Cristina Abilleira, based in Madrid, specialises in commercial and contract law with a focus on the fashion, luxury and retail sectors, as well as cross-border matters. She primarily advises foreign clients with interests in Spain and is actively involved in Ejaso’s international development, representing the firm in networks including Avrio Advocati and the International Bar Association (IBA).

Carlos Cabado, operating from the A Coruña office, is part of the commercial law department, specifically in the restructuring, insolvency and special situations area, including complex litigation. He has recently joined the team driving Ejaso’s new business line focused on special situations and distressed M&A in private equity, aimed at providing comprehensive solutions to companies backed by funds and family offices in complex scenarios.

Also based in A Coruña, David Rodríguez takes on responsibility for the public law and urban planning practice. His work covers public law, real estate, urban planning, energy and environmental matters, with extensive experience in administrative litigation, public procurement and advisory work on renewable energy project development.

Enrique Llopis, based in Madrid, joins the partnership as an insolvency specialist with over 20 years of experience across multiple jurisdictions. Throughout his career he has held senior positions at both domestic and international firms, advising debtors and creditors in insolvency and restructuring situations. Since 2004 he has also served as a court-appointed insolvency administrator before the Mercantile Courts across Spain, a role that brings practical and strategic depth to the firm’s insolvency and restructuring practice.
