Ecix adds Miguel Dancausa as digital law partner
Ecix has appointed Miguel Dancausa as a partner in its Digital Law practice. With more than twenty years of experience, Dancausa joins the firm having built his career across two complementary disciplines: legal advisory to technology companies and in-house legal leadership in international, highly complex regulatory environments.
Across these roles, he supported the transformation of technology business models — spanning software, cloud, SaaS, BPO, consulting and digital services — leading legal teams and advising on technology contracting, privacy, intellectual property, compliance, corporate transactions and risk management in international settings.
Carlos Sáiz Peña, Vice-President of ECIX, noted that Dancausa brings a combination of legal expertise, technological knowledge and practical business acumen, and that his background in the legal departments of technology companies enables the firm to sharpen its proposition for clients managing digital risks, implementing Legal Operations and tackling new regulatory challenges.
Miguel Dancausa described ECIX as a firm that had the foresight to anticipate many of the challenges organisations and their legal teams face today — from the rise of artificial intelligence to the acceleration of digital transformation and growing regulatory complexity — and said the move represents an opportunity to contribute his experience in Digital Law from a practical, strategic perspective closely aligned with the business.
The profile
Prior to joining Ecix, Dancausa served as Legal & Compliance Director at 300DEC, a company specialising in hyperautomation and AI. Before that, he was a member of the Management Committee at Cegid, where he led the legal and compliance function for Iberia, Latin America and Africa, and held a seat on the Management Committee at Meta4 as Corporate Head of Legal with global responsibility.
