DLA Piper Spain takes a female lead

Pilar Menor is the new Managing Partner of DLA Piper Spain. She has been co-managing the Madrid office with Juan Jiménez-Laiglesia since last year. He will now become International Head of Competition for the Firm, leaving Menor to take sole charge of Spain.

Menor also continues on with her role as Head of Employment, an area where she combines law practice and teaching.
“I accept this new challenge, full of enthusiasm and energy, for which I expect to be counting on the significant support from all the partners of the firm,” says Menor. “Our priority is to add value to the service we provide our clients with, and therefore, we deem it most important to invest in the motivation and ongoing training of our brilliant team of professionals”.
Menor is one of only a few women holding such a title in Spain, especially in an international firm – another significant move in breaking the glass ceiling in a traditionally male dominated industry.
