CNC former President joins Broseta

Luis Berenguer, former President of Spain’s National Competition Commission (CNC ) has joined Broseta as a Senior Adviser to strengthen its Competition practice.

Berenguer was President of the CNC from 2007 until 2011, and also President of the Court of Competition from 2005-2007. He has also been active in advising on competition to several authorities in Latin American, including Bolivia and the Dominican Republic.
“The addition of Luis Berenguer to the Firm provides a big boost to our domestic and international competition capabilities,” says Manuel Broseta, “in particular to be able to count on his background and his experience in Brussels and Latin America.”
The Firm has also appointed Manuel Broseta as the new President of Broseta, with Luis Trigo taking over the reins as Managing Partner.
Berenguer’s hire follows a trend of law firms incorporating politicians into their offices, for example Josep Piqué, a former Minister in the PP and Chairman of Vueling PP, being appointed as President of Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo’s Advisory Board.
