DLA Piper assists Sherpa in CityBike stake acquisition

DLA Piper has assisted Sherpa Capital with the acquisition of a stake in Spanish company CityBike

Private Equity Madrid-based fund manager Sherpa Capital has acquired a stake in the European bicycle-sharing company CityBike, created in 2014 by the Moventia Group, one of the leaders in the European micro-mobility market, with a special focus on the operation of public bicycle systems.

Sherpa Capital is a leading Private Equity fund manager in Spain and Portugal for investments, currently managing more than €300 million through Special Situations and Private Equity funds in mid-sized companies seeking new challenges.

DLA Piper´s team was led by Corporate partner Teresa Zueco (pictured) and included Corporate senior associate Pablo García and associate Alejandra Castañeda.

KPMG Abogados also advised Sherpa on the Finance matters with a team led by M&A partner Alvaro de Silva.
