DLA Piper advises Barings on real estate joint venture

DLA Piper advised Barings, in a joint venture with Panattoni, in the real estate investment for the purchase of properties from Saint-Gobain, envisaging the future construction of a logistics park with a total area of 85,000 square meters in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.

The project involves the acquisition of a 210,000 square meters’ land located in Santa Iria for the construction of logistics buildings, which will be one of the major logistics park in Lisbon Area. Barings is a global asset management firm that partners with institutional, insurance, and intermediary clients, and supports leading businesses with flexible financing solutions.

DLA Piper assisted Barings in the due diligence to the properties, in the execution of the promissory sale and purchase agreement, and in the final sale and purchase deed, alongside with Panattoni. The legal advisors’ team was coordinated, in Portugal, by partner Luís Filipe Carvalho and, in Spain, by partner Orson Alcocer (both pictured from left to right).
