Dentons appoints Ana Burbano as head of legal tech

Dentons has appointed Ana Burbano as head of legal tech enablement for the EMEA region, reinforcing the firm’s strategic focus on innovation, legal operations, and technology transformation across its European platform.

The appointment comes at a time of accelerating change within the legal sector, as international firms continue investing in legal tech capabilities, operational efficiency, and AI-driven solutions to support clients and internal teams.

Burbano will work closely with Dentons’ Intelligence & Innovation teams across EMEA, focusing on the implementation and development of legal technology solutions and operational enablement initiatives throughout the region.

The profile

Ana Burbano is a senior legal operations professional with more than 16 years of experience in the legal sector, specialising in legal technology projects and the transformation of legal service delivery models.

Throughout her career, she has led end-to-end legal tech implementations across areas including Legal Entity Management, Contract Lifecycle Management, document automation, legal intake systems, dashboards, analytics, and AI adoption strategies.

A qualified lawyer with expertise spanning Corporate Law, GDPR, IP/IT, Employment, and Tax, Burbano combines legal knowledge with experience in technology, change management, and service design. Her work has focused on helping legal teams align operational structures with broader business priorities through innovation and efficiency.
