Dentons advises Regenerate on €50m investment in Spanish regenerative agriculture
Dentons has advised Regenerate Asset Management on its €50 million investment through the Regenerate European Sustainable Agriculture (RESA) fund.
This transaction will convert over 2,000 hectares from intensive cereal farming to high-value tree crops and integrated livestock, aligning with RESA’s strategy to enhance land-backed positions through regenerative agriculture. The investment underscores the growing appeal of natural capital among institutional investors, reinforcing its role in sustainable finance.
Regenerate’s initiative promotes sustainable food production while generating carbon credits. The transaction supports systemic agricultural change, establishing regenerative agriculture as a key natural capital asset class.
The legal advisory was carried out by Dentons Madrid’s real estate team, led by energy partner Fermín Garbayo, with the collaboration of senior associate Manuel de Cueto and associates, María Hernández, Manuel Lamela and Carlota Sepó.
