De la Esperanza Legal opens in Madrid

Antonio de la Esperanza launches his own law firm, focused on cross-border operations in Latin America

De la Esperanza Legal, headquartered in Madrid, joined the Latin American legal sector as of mid-February. The law firm provides cross-border transaction advice with a focus on Latin America, especially in Finance, Corporate and Real Estate.

Antonio de la Esperanza (pictured), an experienced lawyer who worked for a decade in Hogan Lovells, is the owner and sole partner of the law firm, who says that with his experience and training he can fill a gap in the Latin American legal market.

Antonio is licensed to practice in both Spain and New York and declares that with De la Esperanza Legal, he can help companies in operations where they are looking for financing, as they do not usually bear the cost of hiring a large firm.

De la Esperanza estimates that the financing and investment market will be very active in 2021. The firm’s portfolio already includes European software development companies and financial companies based in Latin America. His goal is to help such companies secure financing to expand in said region.

Antonio de la Esperanza graduated in Law from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, completing his studies with a Master’s degree in International Trade and Economic Law at Georgetown University Law Center. He developed international experience from his 10-year work at Hogan Lovells, while he also worked at the International Finance Corporation where he held the position of international Legal advisor.
