Cuatrecasas with Clínicas Mi on expansion

Cuatrecasas has advised hospital group Clínicas Mi on the incorporation of a new centre in Tarragona and the expansion of Mi NovAliança, its hospital in Lleida. The two operations are part of the group’s territorial growth strategy in Catalonia.

Clínicas Mi has acquired Policlínica El Vendrell, a private healthcare centre in the Baix Penedès. It also plans to open a new outpatient consultation building at its Mi NovAliança clinic in Lleida. Combined investment exceeds €40 million, including the respective improvement plans.

The group is chaired by Gabriel Masfurroll Cortada and counts the Portobello fund among its shareholders. It is continuing to explore further growth opportunities in Catalonia.

The acquisition follows Clínicas Mi’s model of integrating centres with strong local roots, preserving their identity and strengthening their care capabilities, in line with the group’s founding motto, “Curar y Cuidar”.

The new consultation building will stand a few metres from the current Mi NovAliança clinic. The complex covers more than 2,500 square metres, of which 1,300 will house care facilities and 1,200 will be used for parking. It will have 26 highly specialised outpatient consulting rooms. Policlínica Comarcal de El Vendrell is located in Santa Oliva (Tarragona).
