Cuatrecasas with Barrabes in the acquisition of Grifone
Cuatrecasas has advised Barrabes Ski Montaña, one of the main operators of outdoor sports equipment in Spain, on the acquisition of assets relating to the Grifone brand, which belonged to the Excens Group since 2020.
With this transaction, Barrabes continues its pursuit to position itself as a reference in the world of sports, in this case in clothing for high performance activities and technical mountain equipment. Thus strengthening its position in the area and consolidating its presence at a national level.
The Cuatrecasas team in charge of the transaction was led by Zaragoza office partners Ignacio Liria Jordá and Antonio García Lapuente, from the Corporate and M&A practice.
Barrabes is also focusing on strengthening its presence in other sports, such as cycling, and on previous occasions has relied on the advice of the Zaragoza office of Cuatrecasas: for the acquisition of the entire share capital of Maestre Bikes, one of the main retailers in the cycling sector in the Basque Country; and in the incorporation into the network of stores of the Tomás Domingo business, located in Barcelona.
