Cuatrecasas Portugal has advised Atena Equity Partners on the acquisition of drugmaker Sidefarma
Cuatrecasas Portugal has advised Atena Equity Partners on the acquisition of Sidefarma, a company operating in the Pharmaceutical sector. The business expanded to Portugal more than 40 years ago, specialising in the manufacture of Pharmaceutical forms and the sale of Pharmaceutical products.
Atena is a leading Portuguese Private Equity firm that invests in Portuguese companies in four areas of activity: Industry, Education, Healthcare and Business services.
The operation involved a multidisciplinary team from Cuatrecasas, led by Mariana Norton dos Reis (pictured), coordinating partner of the Corporate and M&A area. It included the support of Francisco Martins Caetano and Joana Silveira Botelho, senior associates in the Corporate and M&A area and coordinator of the Health area, respectively.
The team also had the support of Miguel de Almada, coordinating partner in the area of Litigation and Arbitration, Sandra Lima da Silveira, consultant in the Labor area, and Ana Costa Teixeira, associate in the area of Intellectual Property, Technology, Media and Telecommunications.
