Cuatrecasas partner joins Pérez-Llorca as of counsel in Barcelona

Pérez-Llorca has hired ex-Cuatrecasas partner Fernando Cerdá Albero as of counsel to reinforce the Commercial and Litigation & Arbitration practice in its Barcelona office

With more than 30 years of university experience and a decade of professional practice, Cerdá, who holds a PhD in Law from the University of Bologna, is a Commercial Law professor at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and, until joining Pérez-Llorca, was a partner at Cuatrecasas.

Fernando Cerdá (pictured) specialises in Commercial Law, Company Law and Insolvency Law. Throughout his career he has worked with national and international clients in the defence of their interests in complex Corporate Restructurings, as well as in Commercial, Corporate and Insolvency proceedings, especially in Litigation concerning directors’ liability, challenges to corporate resolutions, corporate transactions, structural modifications, Commercial contracts, Antitrust and Bankruptcy proceedings.

He is the author of numerous books and scientific articles on subjects related to his main areas of specialisation, published in Spain, Germany and Italy. He is a regular lecturer on these subjects in specialisation courses, postgraduate programmes and congresses.

His work has been recognised by a prestigious international Legal directory in Insolvency and Reorganisation Law, Arbitration and Litigation practices.
