Cuatrecasas names three new of counsel

Cuatrecasas has appointed three new of counsel: Javier Alós Domench, from the corporate area; Pedro de Castro, from the public area; and María Igea Arriazu, from corporate.

Javier Alós Domench belongs to the coporate area in Barcelona, German Desk. He is an expert in M&A, cross-border transactions, private equity, restructuring of corporate groups and joint ventures, as well as contract and corporate law. He has also advised on sale and purchase transactions, construction, development and financing of renewable energy projects, real estate developments of shopping centres, offices and hotel complexes. A member of the Barcelona Bar Association, throughout his career he has worked in the Barcelona, New York and Mexico City offices, advising national and international clients, with a main focus on clients from German-speaking countries in their investments and activities in Spain and Latin America.

Pedro de Castro from the public area at the Lisbon office. He specialises in advising public and private entities and has extensive experience in administrative and civil litigation, particularly in public procurement. He has been a member of the Portuguese Bar Association for 20 years and his work in the telecommunications, IT, health, automotive, professional services and construction sectors, among others, is among the most recognised in the country.

María Igea Arriazu from the corporate area in Madrid. She specialises in commercial and real estate law. She advises on company acquisitions, M&A transactions and investment and joint venture agreements, as well as on the purchase and sale, construction, management and leasing of all types of real estate assets. She is an expert in real estate law and has extensive experience, in particular in the hotel, residential, office, data centre and energy sectors. She worked in the London office and as a visiting lawyer at Paul, Weiss advising international clients and private equity funds.
