Cuatrecasas and Gómez-Acebo & Pombo advise on Sevilla solar park sale

Cuatrecasas advised renewable energy company BayWa r.e. on the sale of the solar park ‘Don Rodrigo’ in southern Spain to asset management company Meag Munich Ergo.

Meag Munich Ergo was advised by Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, according to Mergermarket.

The solar park consists of around 500,000 solar panels installed in an area measuring 265 hectares located 20 kilometres south of Sevilla.

The park’s total output amounts to 175 megawatts. The 300 gigawatt hours produced annually by the plant supplies the equivalent of 93,000 Spanish homes with electricity.

The power will be marketed via a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Norwegian energy company Statkraft.
