Cuatrecasas advises Grupo Costa on Roler acquisition

Cuatrecasas has counselled Grupo Costa on the acquisition of Roler España and Roler Extremadura

The purchase operation involved the acquisition of Roler España, S.L. and Roler Extremadura, S.L., which make up a group specialising in the manufacture and distribution of a wide variety of freshly processed meat products, with a notable and recognised presence in many large supermarkets. The group has two production plants in Peraleda de la Mata and Terrassa, with around 500 workers.

In the words of the Costa Group’s CEO, Jorge Costa, the operation “is an important step that encourages us to continue growing, as this is one of the most cutting-edge and innovative companies in our sector.”

With this transaction, Grupo Costa strengthens its presence in the link of the food chain closest to the consumer, where it already has recognised brands such as Casademont, Villar and La Nuncia, among others, as a result of transactions carried out in recent years in which Costa Group was assisted by the same Cuatrecasas´team. Grupo Costa has consolidated its position as one of the largest meat groups in Spain, with 4,500 employees and a forecast aggregate turnover of €1.75 billion for 2021.
