Cuatrecasas advises Creand on €25m housing fund

Cuatrecasas has acted as legal advisor to Creand Asset Management on the launch of OX Renew Living FCRE, a new real estate investment fund focused on developing affordable rental housing in Spain. OM Live Real Estate will advise the fund through a platform based on big data and artificial intelligence.

The deal

Projects are expected to be developed mainly under the Vivienda Protegida de Precio Limitado (VPPL) model, aimed at expanding the stock of affordable rental housing and supporting urban regeneration and energy-efficiency improvements in the areas where developments are located.

The launch marks Creand Asset Management’s entry into real estate investment and forms part of the manager’s strategy to expand its specialised product offering for investors.

The fund has a target size of €25m and an expected investment horizon of around five years. According to the information released, the vehicle is designed to combine financial returns with social and environmental impact, embedding ESG criteria across the investment cycle, from design and construction to rental operations, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.

The team

The Cuatrecasas team advising on the launch included Jorge Canta and Francisco Sánchez Cuéllar from Fund Formation, and Paz Irazusta and Miguel Ángel Orozco from Fund Formation Tax.
