Cuatrecasas advises 4Founders on the launch of a new €40m technology fund
Cuatrecasas has advised private equity firm 4Founders on creating its second investment vehicle 4Founders Capital II
Spanish Private Equity firm 4Founders has created its second investment vehicle, called 4Founders Capital II. A new management company—already registered with the Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission—was created for the new fund, which will allow the firm to have a better capacity for action.
Managed by Javier Pérez-Tenessa, Jesús Monleón, Marc Badosa and Marek Fodor, the fund will have €40 million to invest in up to 30 technology companies over the next 10 years. The investment period will include four years for the capital injections and another five for divestments. The initial closing of the fund, with between €15 to €20 million guaranteed, is expected before the end of 2020.
The Cuatrecasas team advising on this deal was led by Madrid office Financial Regulatory partner Jorge Canta (pictured), along with lawyers Guillem Martínez and Paula Solano.
