Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo adds former Indra´s GC as a partner

Carlos González Soria, former head of Legal Affairs and vice secretary of the Board of Indra has joined Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo as a partner

Carlos González Soria (pictured) has a degree in Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He has been a Roman Law associate professor at the same university and at Universidad Europea de Madrid and also taught Commercial Law at the Instituto de Empresa. He worked as a lawyer at Garrigues from 1991 to 1996, when he joined Indra.

Carlos has extensive international experience in all areas of Law as well as in the management of complex situations and team leadership.

He was, until October 2020, head of Legal Affairs and deputy secretary of the Board of Directors, and in this role, he was interviewed by Iberian Lawyer in April 2020. The veteran executive lawyer was one of the few who remained in the company after the immediate departure of other executives linked to former president Javier Monzón and was replaced as head of Legal by Fabiola Gallego.

According to the law firm, the new partner will work in its Madrid office in the areas of Banking & Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Markets, Commercial, Contracts & Negotiation, Corporate and Corporate Governance.
