CMS reinforces Energy and Climate Change department

CMS Rui Pena & Arnaut has signed Manuel Cassiano Neves as Energy and Climate Change co-managing associate

CMS Rui Pena & Arnaut Energy and Climate Change team, led by partner Mónica Carneiro Pacheco, has added Manuel Cassiano Neves (pictured) as co-managing associate.

According to the firm: “Recognized internationally and nationally, the practice of Energy and Climate Change is one of the main areas of the firm. With an increasingly international, competitive and demanding market, the company strengthens and reorganizes the Energy and Climate Change area, which is currently made up of a team of 13 members, thus having two managing associates: Manuel Cassiano Neves and Bernardo Cunha Ferreira.”

With over 15 years of legal practice, Manuel Cassiano Neves has extensive experience in the areas of Energy and Environment, with special focus on the Natural Gas and Electricity sectors, in matters of Regulatory nature, execution of Public Service concession and Energy supply contracts.

Cassiano Neves joins from Garrigues where he was a Public Law, Environment and Energy Department senior associate at the Lisbon office, after 12 years in the firm. He has a degree in Law and postgraduate studies in Energy Law from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Portuguese Catholic University Law School)
