Clifford, Garrigues advise on FMC GlobalSat’s acquisition of Santander Teleport

Clifford Chance has counselled FMC GlobalSat while Garrigues has assisted Erzia group, which founded Santander Teleport in 2010

FMC GlobalSat has recently acquired 100% of Santander Teleport, a World Teleport Association award-winning independent Spanish teleport operator in the Cantabria region. FMC GlobalSat Holdings Inc is a global provider of satellite and wireless connectivity solutions headquartered in Florida. This acquisition (subject to customary closing conditions) from the ERZIA group, which founded Santander Teleport in 2010, will solidify FMC’s position in the provision of connectivity solutions and increase its presence in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Clifford Chance´s team advising FMC GlobalSat on the Due Diligence, purchase and authorisation process was led by Corporate partner Guillermo Guardia (pictured left), supported by associates José María Vilaseca, Cristina González, María Viñas and Estel Casas. Additionally, counsel Carme Briera (pictured centre) advised on Regulatory issues.

Garrigues Bilbao office team advising ERZIA group on the sale was led by Corporate/M&A partner Ricardo Villanueva (pictured right), along with with associates Sofía Barrena and Alejandra Bicarregui.
