Clifford Chance and Deloitte Legal advise on Solarpack-Ardian deal

Clifford Chance advised Spanish company Solarpack on the sale of four solar photovoltaic plants in Chile and Peru to Ardian Infrastructure for $31 million.

Ardian was advised by Deloitte Legal on the deal.

Under the terms of the deal, Ardian acquired an 81 per cent stake in the four plants. Ardian will also take a minority stake in Solarpack and occupy a seat on its board of directors.

Solarpack will continue to handle the plants’ operations, maintenance and day-to-day asset management to maximize the financial return of the assets. The plants have a combined installed capacity of 46 MW, with the three plants in Chile totaling 26.5 MW and the plant in Peru generating 19.4 MW.

Solarpack was also advised by Chilean law firm Carey & Allende on the transaction, according to Mergermarket.
