Clifford Chance advises czech banks on financing for Rohlik Group
Clifford´s Chance team advising on this transaction consisted of members from its offices in Prague, London, Frankfurt, Milan, Badea (Bucharest) and Madrid. Partner Eduardo Garcia, associate Pedro Cubillas and trainee lawyer Mariana Ceballos had been part of the Madrid law firm´s team supporting the operation.
Clifford Chance has advised a club of major czech banks led by Česká spořitelna and further consisting of BNP Paribas (acting through its branch BNP Paribas, pobočka Česká republika) and J&T Banka in connection with financing for Rohlik Group, the rapidly growing online grocery delivery service in Europe.
Rohlik Group, which was founded in 2014 with the vision and passion that people should “eat well and live well”, currently serves 1,5 million customers and processed 11 million orders in 2022, resulting in a year-over-year revenue increase of 33%.
The Clifford Chance team working on this financing was led by senior associate Hana Čekalová, supervised by british partner Jim MacHale and czech partner Miloš Felgr and supported by junior lawyer Tomáš Kubala.
