Cerejeira advises on the sale of Igacargo to Euroatla
Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão has advised the partners of Igacargo, Transitários, a major player in the freight forwarding services market in Porto and Lisbon, offering national and international transportation solutions for their clients in various modes such as maritime, air, road, and rail, in the sale of their entire stake to Euroatla – Navegação e Trânsitos, a company operating in the same markets.
The advisory work covered the entire process, including the preparation, negotiation, and finalization of transaction documents, as well as overseeing the due diligence conducted by the buyer and the prior notification to the Competition Authority, informs the Portuguese law firm.
The deal, which results in a combined turnover of approximately 25 million euros and an EBITDA of 2 million euros (2023 data), “reflects Euroatla’s strategy of inorganic growth, consolidating its strategic position in the transport and logistics sector in Portugal”, states Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão in a press release.
