Cecília Meireles new head of Cerejeira Namora in Lisbon

Cecília Meireles has been confirmed as the latest senior hire at Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão and will lead the Lisbon office. The former Member of Parliament born in Porto, returns to law after 20 years in the Assembly of the Republic, to coordinate the team.

“It’s a return to my origins, without a doubt. Returning to the practice of law and maintaining a connection to Porto, although my activity will be developed in Lisbon, is the combination of two perfect factors that mean a lot to me. I was captivated by the firm’s growth project, where I identified values ​​such as work, combativeness, merit and a fierce spirit, which could no longer be identified with my profile. I couldn’t refuse. I’ll be able to work in an area linked to companies, which has been part of my path since the beginning,” said Cecília Meireles.

With family origins in Guimarães, born in Porto, graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, she did an internship before taking on other roles, namely deputy, parliamentary leader and Secretary of State for Tourism. In Parliament, she worked mainly on parliamentary inquiry committees to Banco Espírito Santo, Caixa Geral de Depósitos and Novo Banco, in addition to coordinating the financial areas and the State Budget in her parliamentary group.
