Ceca Magán closes 2019 with 25% growth

Ceca Magán Abogados has closed 2019 with a turnover of €8.9 million, an increase of 25% compared to 2018, accumulating a growth of 99% for the last 5 years

With more than 100 professionals in its Madrid, Barcelona and Tenerife offices, the firm, founded by Esteban Ceca Magán in 1973, closed 2019 with more than 3,800 handled cases-according to the firm- with very positive numbers in terms of procedural results, with 81% of litigation won or settled by agreement.

The reinforcement carried out by the firm last year clearly stands out, with the incorporation of new Tax and Commercial partners as well as the launching of the Public and Regulatory area, with one of the most recognized lawyers in the market, Mª José Rovira, as this area partner.

Throughout the year, the firm has continued to invest in strengthening each of its specialization areas, carrying out top level incorporations such as Ignacio Gordillo, integrated as a partner in the Tax Law area and specialized in international taxation; Paula Gámez as a partner in the Tax Law department and an expert in the insurance sector; Guillermo Barrios, of counsel in the Labor department; José María Pastrana, as partner in the M&A area and with a great background in buy and sale operations; and Maria José Rovira, partner with whom the firm launched the Public and Regulatory Law area and recognized in as a reference in Water Law practice in the Spanish market. Likewise, José Ramón Couso has been incorporated as the firm’s Corporate Director and continues to professionalize its management team.

In this way, the firm continues, “on the one hand, to combine its organic growth with its recruitment strategy and expertise in specific matters, and on the other hand to consolidate its leadership in the field of Labor Law, which has made it one of the leading firms in the legal sector in Spain in its more than 45 years of history.”

It is worth mentioning that, since March 13, Ceca Magán Abogados has already processed Temporary Layoffs (ERTEs) affecting more than 130,000 people, related to the current state of alarm and total lockdown remaining in place in Spain, being “one of the firms that these days is managing more activity in the Legal-Labour field helping companies with these procedures.”
