CC counsels Real Madrid on €225m additional financing for Bernabeu

Clifford Chance has advised Real Madrid, C.F. on the additional financing granted for the remodelling project of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium

Clifford Chance has advised Real Madrid, C.F. on the additional financing granted to fund the costs of works not foreseen in the initial remodelling project of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid. The transaction, for an amount of €225 million, has been structured through a new tranche of the loan granted in 2019, with a term of 27 years and a fixed interest rate of 1.53%.

The initial loan was granted for €575 million, and this additional financing, which has been approved by the club’s Board of Directors will finance works not initially included in the remodelling of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
