Carlos Salinas to head Broseta’s Barcelona office
BROSETA has announced the appointment of Carlos Salinas Peña as the new director of its Barcelona office, marking a pivotal step in its BROSETA Horizonte 27 strategic plan. This announcement comes nearly three years after the firm first established its Barcelona presence in early 2022 with a team of over 50 professionals.
Salinas, a partner in the firm’s Corporate Law Department since 2022, brings more than 25 years of experience in structured finance operations, corporate refinancing, and mergers and acquisitions. His impressive track record includes advising top companies across sectors such as hospitality, construction, and real estate, and serving on the board of the Commercial Law Section of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB).
Manuel Broseta, President of the law firm, emphasized the importance of Barcelona as a business hub:
“Barcelona is a city of great business activity and a benchmark for professional development in investment-related projects. We are confident that this new chapter under Carlos’s leadership will be immensely positive for our clients and colleagues.”
Global Managing Partner Rosa Vidal highlighted Salinas’s deep understanding of the local business environment: “Carlos’s profound knowledge of the business landscape, especially in Catalonia, gives us confidence and will be instrumental in leading this project, which began three years ago.”
Salinas expressed enthusiasm for his new role: “I am thrilled to lead BROSETA’s Barcelona office. Being part of a firm with such recognition and positioning is an honor, and it’s an exciting challenge to contribute to a growth project with significant future opportunities.”
Catalonia Expansion and Global Reach
Since its establishment, BROSETA’s Barcelona office has offered comprehensive legal services in business law, with specialties in emerging technologies, real estate and urban planning, and M&A. It serves as the firm’s third physical location in Spain, alongside Valencia (its founding base) and Madrid (since 2007).
Recent additions to the Barcelona team include Assumpta Zorraquino and Alejandra Matas, who will lead the office’s New Technologies division, further bolstering its innovative service offerings.
BROSETA’s Iberian footprint extends beyond Spain with an office in Lisbon (since 2018), enabling a fully integrated service for clients across the Iberian Peninsula. Internationally, the firm has been present in Zurich since 2013 and leads the Ibero-American Legal Network, a consortium of firms operating in 18 countries with over 600 lawyers.
