C&L acts for Barcelona Circuit and shareholders on F1 Spanish GP 2021 agreement

Cases&Lacambra has advised Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and its major shareholders on the agreement with Formula 1® regarding the 2021 Spanish Grand Prix

Cases&Lacambra has advised on the negotiation of the renewal of the contract to host and stage the Formula 1® Spanish Grand Prix in 2021, to be held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. That would be the 65th edition of the Spanish Grand Prix. Specifically, Cases&Lacambra has advised Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and its major shareholders (being the major shareholder the Catalonian Government) on the agreement.

According to the Circuit, this agreement implies that the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya “will continue consolidating its international projection and its positioning as benchmark facility in the world of motorsports.”

The negotiations with the Formula 1® also included a financial angle, on which the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and its major shareholders were advised by Bové Montero & Asociados.
