Broseta integrates Azsure Abogados
Broseta has integrated Azsure Abogados, a Spanish firm specialised in insurance and reinsurance law. The integration brings ten professionals with experience in litigation, regulation, M&A and tax matters focused on the insurance sector into Broseta’s structure.
Azsure Abogados’ team is led by founding partners Jesús Vélez and José María Araúz de Robles, together with partners Javier Goizueta and Bárbara Mambrila. With this move, Broseta reinforces its insurance practice at Iberian level, an area led by partners Raquel Molina in Spain and Leonor Futscher de Deus in Portugal. The combined team brings experience in litigation, large claims, regulatory law, M&A and digital economy matters, advising insurance groups.
Leonor Futscher de Deus, partner at Broseta in Portugal, said “the know-how brought by the new team will allow Broseta in Portugal to continue expanding its offering to the sector’s various players, particularly Iberian groups”.
Growth under Horizonte 27
The integration of Azsure Abogados reinforces Broseta’s growth strategy in the Iberian Peninsula, where the firm has offices in Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, Lisbon and Zurich.
Manuel Broseta, Rosa Vidal, Álvaro Roquette Morais and João Espanha, president and managing partners of Broseta in Spain and Portugal, said “the integration of Azsure Abogados strengthens the firm’s positioning in the insurance sector, incorporating a firm specialised in that area. According to them, the move allows the firm to offer more transversal and specialised advice to national and international companies”.
Jesús Vélez, founder of Azsure Abogados, said “the integration will allow the team to contribute its experience in litigation, civil liability, risk coverage, large claims and regulatory advice in insurance matters, adding that the combination is expected to create a differentiated value proposition for clients and strengthen Broseta’s position in the domestic and international insurance market”.
