Bridgepoint advised by Freshfields on €456m Sapec deal

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer advised Bridgepoint on the €456 million acquisition of Sapec Agro Business.

Portugal-headquartered Sapec Agro Business specialises in off-patent crop protection products and speciality crop nutrition.  The company sells products in more than 70 countries.

In 2015, Sapec Agro Business generated revenues of €223 million.

The Freshfields team was led by partner Javier Monzón and Ana López. The team also included partner Francisco Cantos, who advised on antitrust aspects.  

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
