Bird & Bird acts for Just Eat on sale of Mexico business

Bird & Bird advised food chain Just Eat the sale of a 49 per cent of its Mexico business to its subsidiary IF-JE.

Just Eat’s Mexico business consists of SinDelantal and Hellofood Mexico.

IF-JE is a joint venture with Movile in which JUST EAT holds a 30 per cent ownership stake.

Bird & Bird advised on the Spanish and Mexican aspects of the deal.

The Bird & Bird team was led by Lourdes Ayala and also included associate Alberto Rodríguez.

The value of the transaction was not disclosed, but it is estimated to be approximately €11 million.
