BBVA adds new senior Legal counsel from BNP Paribas

BBVA has hired Víctor Moreno Rodríguez as its new senior Legal counsel for Corporate and Investment Banking, hiring him from BNP Paribas where he has been for the last four years

Previously, Víctor (pictured) was a senior associate in the Corporate/M&A practice group and Capital Markets.at Pérez-Llorca from 2011 to 2017. He has also worked at Dentons as an associate, and he started his professional career as an intern at DLA Piper Austria and UNCITRAL, the core legal body of the United Nations system in the field of International Trade Law.

His areas of expertise are Banking and Finance Law, Capital Markets Law, Corporate/M&A, Commercial Law, and Corporate Governance. He graduated in Law with honours from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He also counts with an advanced programme in Financial markets Law from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB) and with several high-profile programmes both national and international from prestigious universities and schools.

He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
