Barrilero expands in Valencia via Core integration

Barrilero is expanding its footprint in the Valencian Community through the integration of Core, a local legal and economic consultancy specialising in corporate law — particularly M&A — real estate, and shareholder disputes.

Following the integration, Core’s managing partner, Jon Palomero Arguinchona, will assume the role of managing partner of Barrilero’s new Valencia office.

Strategic context

The Valencian Community, alongside Galicia, represents one of Barrilero’s primary growth targets for the current financial year. The firm — one of Spain’s main independent law firms — has undergone significant expansion in recent years, notably through the integration of Catalan firm Buigas and Portuguese firm SPS. Barrilero currently fields around 350 lawyers in Spain and reported revenues approaching €60 million in 2025, representing 34% growth year-on-year.

Core has been active in recent years as legal adviser on several major real estate transactions in Valencia, supporting family offices and investors throughout acquisition, asset development, and disposal processes.

Palomero holds a law degree from the University of Valencia and brings broad experience in the legal and corporate sphere, having also held senior positions at listed companies and collective investment institutions.
