Baker McKenzie advises Portuguese company Finerge on a power purchase agreement

Baker McKenzie has advised the Portuguese company Finerge on the power purchase agreement (PPA) with the British oil company BP, for the supply of renewable energy for a period of 10 years.

Through this agreement, BP will purchase approximately 100 gigawatt hours (GWh) of electricity per year and an equivalent volume of Guarantees of Origin from Finerge’s Navarra Wind Farm.

The firm’s advice to Finerge has been led by Manuel Somacarrera, team leader at the Public Law, Energy and Infrastructure team.
