Auren grows 8.1% and reaches €104M in revenue
Auren has reached €104 million of revenue in Spain in 2025, 8.1% more than the previous year, according to the Spanish firm’s results for the 2024–2025 financial year.
The legal division reported 12.3% more revenue than the previous year, reaching €42.2 million. The consulting division (people, strategy and processes, and technology) increased revenue by 4.6% to €34.7 million. Meanwhile, Audit grew by 4.8%, bringing its revenue to €23.8 million, and the Corporate Finance division totalled €3.4 million, 19.7% more than the previous year.
Auren’s financial year was marked by the entry of Waterland Private Equity as an investor partner, an operation that enables the firm to accelerate its expansion plan, strengthens its technological capabilities and boost the development of high value-added areas, states the firm. During this period, Auren carried out corporate operations such as the integration of Estudio Jurídico V2C Abogados, a Madrid-based law firm, and promoted four new partners.
Waterland’s entry
Mario Alonso, president of Auren (pictured), stated that “this financial year has been especially important for the firm. Waterland’s entry places us in a strategic position within the sector, drives our growth and strengthens our brand, while also helping us attract high-level talent without losing the essence and humanistic culture that have always defined Auren.”
According to Alonso, Auren is working on more than 50 corporate operations across all divisions and in various cities in Spain. “Initially, we believed doubling our size would take three years, but today we think we can achieve this sooner, expecting to reach €200 million in revenue”, he added.
He also highlighted Auren’s ongoing focus on the areas that are shaping today’s business agenda, such as services related to technology — with emphasis on AI and cybersecurity — restructurings, tax compliance and sustainability. In addition, the firm will continue strengthening its comprehensive solutions.
During 2025, the firm recorded a 5.2% increase in its team, reaching a total of 1,105 professionals across 15 offices throughout Spain. “Our commitment is to continue attracting talent that shares our values and our humanistic culture, based on trust, flexibility and always putting people at the centre. Our goal is to double the workforce within the next three years,” said Mario Alonso.
The firm recently appointed Eduardo Romero to its board of directors (click to read), which now consists of four professional partners: Mario Alonso, José Luis Galipienso, Ignacio Irígoras and Eduardo Romero, along with David Torralba and Matthias Geyssens representing Waterland.
