Ashurst appoints Alfonso González-Espejo as counsel

Ashurst has appointed Alfonso González-Espejo (pictured left) as new counsel for the public law practice in the Madrid office.

González-Espejo is a state lawyer with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors.

As a State Lawyer he has been, among others, Head of the State Attorney’s Office in the Ministry of Public Administrations and also held the positions of Secretary General and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the National Energy Commission.

In the private sector he has been Secretary of the Board of Directors, General Secretary and Director of the Legal Department of Grupo LAR, Director of the Legal Office of the General Secretariat of Bankia and in recent years Partner in the Financial Legal Services Department of KPMG Abogados, in Madrid.
