Andersen T&L advises Imperial Brands on Tabacalera´s sale for €1.2bn
Andersen T&L has advised on all aspects of the sale of the Cuban premium cigar business
As Iberian Lawyer announced on April 28, the sale has been made in two transactions: on the one hand, the US business and, on the other, the rest of the global business, most important of which is the Cuban cigar division, with Andersen advising Imperial Brands on Cuban and Spanish Corporate and M&A matters, and A&O in the UK advising and coordinating all firms involved.
The Andersen Tax & Legal Spain team was led by Jaime Olleros (pictured left), managing partner of the firm in Spain, and Ignacio Aparicio (pictured right), partner and head of the firm´s Cuban desk and coordinator of the Andersen Corporate Legal service line in Europe.
