Andersen steers Trucksters´ €6.3m financing round
Andersen Spain has counselled Trucksters on a €6.3m Series A financing round, which will be used to grow and strengthen its position in the European and international market
Trucksters, a Madrid-based freight transport operator, raised €6.3M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Kibo Ventures, with participation from Amplifier and Bonsai Partners. Sacha Michaud, Glovo co-founder and a previous investor of the company, participated in this funding and joined the firm as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board.
The company intends to use the funds for international expansion, building its presence in Benelux, Germany, and Poland, offering a wider range of routes to their existing and future clients, and the growth of the team.
Founded in 2018 by Luis Bardají, Gabor Balogh and Ramón Castro, Trucksters is a freight transport operator focused on providing a long-distance FTL service through an innovative truck relay system based on big data and artificial intelligence. The service reduces long-distance road transit time by up to 50% by allowing trucks to be continuously on the move through relays.
Trucksters is present in Madrid, the company’s headquarters, Valencia, The Netherlands, Belgium, and Greece, and it is being used by more than 500 clients. The team will be opening new offices in Galicia and Dortmund, Germany, over the coming months. Currently, the company operates three major corridors that connect Spain, Germany, France, Benelux and Poland.
